Flying Home Page

I started flying in the Summer of 1988 in Florida.  I built up 20 hours flying at "Aerospace Camp" and made my first solo.  Unfortunately, the camp was short and I didn't get much further down the Private Pilot training program in my teens.  In 1997, while in college, I picked up where I left off and was able to fly here and there around the Prescott area.  In 1998, I tried to get going again but quickly ran out of time and money and didn't get much beyond basic flight maneuvers.

In August of 2004, I started helping a friend with his Van's RV-10 experimental kitplane.  As a trade for the free labor, he traded me time to get my private in his 1971 Piper Cherokee 140 (PA-28-140).  I started flying every weekend in May of 2005 and solo'd once again about 15 hours into training.  On June 22nd, I made my first unsupervised flight in almost a decade.  Below are some of the photos my instructor took during my first solo flights of the new millennium.

The plane and our future new home are located at Potomac Airfield (VKX).  Refer to the Rose Valley home webpage for more information.
