Alaska

In August of 1999 the 302nd Fighter Squadron Deployed to Elmendorf Air Force Base Alaska for the second time.  While we were there, we got to play almost as much as we worked.  Most nights we were out very late either at the NCO club or the infamous Chilkoot Charlie's night club out on Fireweed Rd.  

On the weekend, we managed a trip down to Seward Alaska to see some glaciers and ride on the Alaskan Railway.  Below are some pictures from the trip.  Click on photos for larger ones.  Use your browser's "Back" button to return.

enough to wear short sleeves!  It should be, with the sun going down at midnight
and the sun rising at 4am.
