Once again, this past summer the 302nd Fighter Squadron took us to Key West Naval Air Station Florida for annual tour. We were on TDY from June 16 through July 1 2001. It was a fairly uneventful trip. I did some SCUBA diving with Subtropic Divers Inc. I highly recommend diving with them. I dove the Grand Cayman Salvager, 10 fathom bar, Sand Key, and Rock Key. All were a nice change from the day in and day out activities on the flight line. The deployment ran fairly smoothly and Key West party atmosphere was in full effect at night.
Last summer I was really busy in Key West too! In May 1999, we got deployed to Key West Naval Air Station located on Boca Chica Key, just a few minutes from Key West. It was such a tough deployment, they even put us up in the Truman Annex, located 2 blocks from Duval street and Facing the Gulf of Mexico.
Here are some pictures from both trips. Click to enlarge photos. Use your browsers back button to return here.
